1,084 apartment homes in 159 buildings move onto fully managed, property-wide WiFi
STATE COLLEGE, PA, August 31, 2026 – DojoNetworks, a managed WiFi and connectivity provider for multifamily communities, announced today that its Managed WiFi+ service is live across new eight apartment communities in State College, PA., covering 1,084 apartment homes in 159 buildings from the different ownership groups.
The communities:
- Farmstead — 106 units, 14 buildings, 130 Farmstead Lane
- Oakwood — 48 units, 6 buildings, 400 Oakwood Avenue
- Northbrook — 166 units, 11 buildings, 145 Northbrook Lane
- Aaron 1 — 59 units, 8 buildings, 1003 W. Aaron Drive
- Aaron 2 — 87 units, 10 buildings, 1100 W. Aaron Drive
- The Rise — 186 units, one 12-story building, 532 E. College Avenue
- The Brexx — 138 units, 82 buildings, 300 Waupelani Drive
- The Pointe — 294 units, 27 buildings, 501 Vairo Boulevard
Every unit and shared amenity space across the eight communities has gigabit internet and ManagedWiFi, with service turning on the day a resident moves in with no installation appointment, no router to buy, and no separate account to set up with an internet provider. Dojo's own support team handles resident connectivity issues directly, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, so leasing and maintenance staff aren't fielding WiFi tickets. Residents and onsite teams manage the network through Elemento, Dojo's unique property and resident portal.
The eight deployments cover a variety of different properties. The Rise is a single 12-story tower managed by Article Student Living; The Brexx spreads 138 apartments across 82 buildings; The Pointe is a 27-building garden-style community, both managed by University Partners. At all three, Dojo replaced an incumbent managed-WiFi provider rather than wiring a new building, and did it without taking residents offline, including rebuilding The Brexx network on fiber running to each individual unit, and migrating The Pointe over building by building while residents stayed connected. Farmstead, Oakwood, Northbrook and both Aaron properties are part of the State College Collective and managed by Cardinal Properties. These properties previously had bulk cable modem service and were upgraded to fiber backed networks with WiFi7 ManagedWiFi. These were large and involved projects. DojoNetworks built fiber backbones to each of these properties from their dense fiber ring which is fed with redundant datacenters and 100's of Gigabits of available bandwidth.
