About Us:
Dojo Networks specializes in providing fully managed Internet and WiFi service to apartment communities. We are a rapidly growing State College, PA - based company seeking additional technical staff to help us build/maintain our high-performance networks and provide very responsive customer support.
About the Position:
As a Dojo Networks Network Engineer, you will be building and maintaining data networks that provide wired and wireless connectivity to the end-users, responding to escalated customer issues, network monitoring, and collaborating with NOC regarding support processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Wifi Network design experience. Service provider experience preferred
- Skilled with central configuration management and orchestration
- Hands-on experience with writing templates using Jinja/YAML/Python
- Knowledge in Orchestration platforms, including Netbox, Ansible configuration and writing playbooks
- Managing wired and wireless network equipment
- High-scale monitoring and analysis experience
- MPLS and optical transport network design, analysis and operations
- Available to assist with network, software or hardware issues.
- Support virtualization environments and servers.
- Deploy and manage physical and virtual network devices.
- Work with sales engineering post-sale in bill of materials creation
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot wired and wireless network deployments.
- Network hardware configuration and deployment.
- Provide guidance and QA oversight to project contractors.
- Assist with customers' wired and wireless connectivity issues.
- Assist NOC staff with direct support to Internet users.
- Monitor and respond to network performance alarms and maintain SNMP tools.
- Keep documentation updated as network changes are made.
- Monitor system performance and customer escalations.
- Interact with the end users to identify any potential concerns.
- Willingness to analyze and report issues and solutions to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness
- Willing to participate in on-call rotation
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience with minimum AS degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience utilizing Ekahau, Ekahau Certified or equivalent software/certifications.
- Proven customer service and problem-solving skills, working remote or on-site with customers and vendors.
- Strong knowledge of IP protocols, routing protocols, firewalls, and routers.
- Deep experience with server management and virtualization technologies (On-premises and Cloud).
- Good understanding of version control systems like Git for managing network configurations and infrastructure as code
- Skilled in automating network provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience in monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of network infrastructure.
- Service Provider background is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of networking concepts and environments
- Ability to perform well in a team environment, including the accurate transfer of information and task hand-off
- Possess a strong background in customer care
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel to neighboring cities as required
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and ongoing background checks required
